NIKOLAY SMYSHLYAEV
Nikolay Smyshlyaev was born on 8 November 1956 in v. Kosogor, Kirov Region.
He has gone into higher education. In 1976 he graduated with honours from Popov Radio Engineering Technical Secondary School in Sverdlovsk. In 1982 he graduated from Leningrad Aircraft Engineering Institute with a degree in engineering and electromechanics.
1977 – 1980: annual work during the summer months, as a member of the students’ construction teams, in construction projects of Leningrad Region and Komi ASSR;
1981 – 1982: Chief Engineer, Usinsk Zonal Students’ Team, Komi Regional Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League;
1982: Engineer, Komiavtodor Directorate, Syktyvkar;
1982 – 1988: Instructor, Chief Engineer, Komi Regional Students’ Team; Leader of the Komi Regional Students’ Team and Head of the Division of the Komi Regional Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League;
1988 – 1990: Deputy Minister of Culture of the Komi ASSR;
1991 – 1993: work in various business entities of the Republic of Komi at leading positions on managing capital construction issues;
1993 – 2003: Head of Investment and Capital Construction Department; Investment and Capital Construction Manager, Investment and Commercial Bank “Iganbank”, OJSC Commercial Bank “Komi Social Bank”;
2003 – 2004: Director, “Kontinent-K” Ltd.;
In October 2004 Nikolay Smyshlyaev was appointed Deputy Minister of Architecture, Construction and Communal Services of the Republic of Komi.
Since 2006: Senior Deputy Minister of Architecture, Construction and Communal Services of the Republic of Komi.
Since 2010: Minister of Architecture, Construction and Communal Services of the Republic of Komi
On 2 February 2011 Nikolay Smyshlyaev was appointed Minister of Architecture, Construction and Communal Services of the Republic of Komi by the Order of the Head of the Republic of Komi.
Nikolay Smyshlyaev has been awarded the Labour Merit Medal, the Certificates of Honour of Leningrad Main Department of Internal Affairs, the USSR Ministry of Transport Construction, Leningrad District Committee, Komi District Committee and Central Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League, the Certificate of Honour of the Head of the Republic of Komi, badges of the Central Committee of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League “For Active Work in Komsomol” and “For Active Work in Students’ Teams”. He is Honoured Constructor of Russia and Veteran of Labour.
Nikolay Smyshlyaev is married, with a son and a daughter.
