“Tourism should be studied as an essential resource for area development and the media of winning the social and economic objectives"
Today the Head of the Republic of Komi Vyacheslav Gaizer sounded this issue at the meeting on internal and external tourism development in Troitsko-Pechorsk. “Paving the way for tourism development in Komi is one of the priorities of the Komi Government economic policy. Thus beginning from the second quarter of the year the Agency of Physical Training, Sports and Tourism of Komi will devolve internal and external tourism development power on the Ministry of Economic Development of Komi", remarked Vyacheslav Gaizer.
V.Gaizer pointed out the construction of Finno-Ugric Ethnic Park in Yb, Syktyvdinsky District, as the most significant regional project serving the internal and external tourism development. By 90th Anniversary of the Republic of Komi the Park should start functioning.
