Vyacheslav Gaizer Congratulates Vladimir Torlopov on His Becoming a Member of the Federation Council of Russia

Today, on 3 March 2010, the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation has supported the termination of Igor Vasiliev’s powers as a member of the Federation Council and approved Vladimir Torlopov’s candidacy to fill the post.
“I appreciate the senators’ unanimous support of Vladimir Torlopov’s candidacy. I consider this to be very important for the Republic of Komi to strengthen its position at the federal level. First of all, Vladimir Torlopov, as the former governor, has thorough knowledge of the regional range of problems. Secondly, he has experience of working at the Federation Council and does not need to get into the swing of the work. We will, of course, work in close cooperation”, said Vyacheslav Gaizer.
