The Head of Komi Vyacheslav Gaizer and the Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of DB AG (German Federal Railway) and Director General of DB International GmbH Martin Bay have signed a cooperation agreement between the Government of the Republic of Komi and the company.
“We know very well your company’s work experience including activities on the Ural Industrial – Ural Polar Project aimed at East Ural regions development”, said the Head of Komi. He expressed his confidence that the experience of that kind would help to realize a similar Belkomur Project aimed at construction of a new railway line Arkhangelsk-Syktyvkar-Perm.
Vyacheslav Gaizer also said that the construction of a new railway line was not an end in itself. It would promote development of all covered territories.
The Head of Komi confirmed readiness of the Government of the Republic of Komi to discuss other lines of cooperation with DB International GmbH within the agreement concluded.
