Alexander Burov, Deputy Head of the Republic of Komi, administers the investment projects implemented in the Republic of Komi, coordinates work of the executive agencies of the Republic of Komi, controls their activities, and authorizes them to deal with the following issues:
1) Fostering Russian and foreign investments in the republican economy; defining investment priorities;
2) Planning investment and SME-related activities in the Republic of Komi;
3) Interaction with local authorities when implementing investment and SME-related projects in the municipalities of the Republic of Komi;
4) Providing support to economic entities of the Republic of Komi on implementing investment and SME-related projects in the Republic of Komi;
5) Development of the state policy and legal and regulatory control in oil, metal mining and gas industries, timber processing complex and engineering industry;
6) Agricultural policy; development and implementation of the state support measures for farming industry and processing and sale of agriproducts;
7) Promotion of agribusiness market relations and entrepreneurship;
8) Implementation of the National Agribusiness Development Priority Project;
9) Animal production safety;
10) Development of the information society and establishment of an e-government system in the Republic of Komi.

According to the Division of Responsibilities between the Senior Deputy Head of the Republic of Komi and deputy heads of the Republic of Komi approved by Order of the Head of the Republic of Komi No; 85-p as of February 17, 2011, the following issue consideration procedure exists:
Issues under the jurisdiction of the Deputy Head of the Republic of Komi Alexander Burov will be considered by the Senior Deputy Head of the Republic of Komi Alexey Chernov; In the absence of Alexey Chernov, the Deputy Head of the Republic of Komi and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Komi Vladimir Tukmakov will accept the responsibility.
